This coffee is grown in the western part of Rwanda in the Karongi District at an elevation of 1525 – 2400 meters above sea level. It undergoes a washed process and is sun dried on raised beds. Harvest season is from June to September. Over 800 small farmers form the cooperative. The coffee farmers of the Kopaki cooperative joined with the Misozi coop to help with the final processing and exportation of their coffee.
